Jacksonville-based hydrocarbon resin supplier centralizes inventory inside Porter’s 230,400-square-foot Pooler warehouse, 15 minutes from the Port of Savannah’s Garden City Terminal
POOLER, Ga. – Porter Logistics, a Georgia third-party logistics (3PL) company with warehouses in Atlanta and Savannah, operates the new Teckrez Distribution Center, which held its grand opening and ribbon cutting on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Porter’s Savannah 3PL warehouse at 195 Nordic Way in Pooler.
Teckrez, a Jacksonville-based supplier of hydrocarbon resins and monomers, selected Porter to run the center, which opened in February. Teckrez chose Savannah to consolidate its container volume from multiple Southeast and Mid-Atlantic ports. The center receives Teckrez’s import containers through the Port of Savannah and ships to customers across the U.S. Teckrez’s operation is part of Porter’s specialty chemicals logistics practice in Savannah, which serves producers and distributors moving product through the port.
Porter is investing more than $1 million in the center and adding technical and warehouse jobs. A quality-control laboratory planned inside the building will bring Teckrez’s product sampling and testing in-house, so inventory can be approved and released to customers faster
The ceremony included remarks from Teckrez, Porter Logistics, the Georgia Ports Authority, the Savannah Economic Development Authority (SEDA) and World Trade Center Savannah, with Pooler and Chatham County officials in attendance. SEDA and World Trade Center Savannah have each published an announcement of the partnership.
“Every container Teckrez brings through Savannah is more cargo for this port and more work for people here,” said John Foshee, co-founder and president of Porter Logistics. “We built the Pooler operation around what resin and chemical companies need: a bonded area, repackaging and a short drive from the port. Thank you to SEDA for helping bring Teckrez to the region, and to the Georgia Ports Authority and the City of Pooler for celebrating with us.”
“Opening our new Savannah facility represents a significant investment in the future of our business and the service we provide to our customers and supply partners,” said Teckrez Senior Logistics Analyst Jake Arcuri. “By centralizing inventory and key operational functions in Savannah, we are creating a more responsive, flexible, and efficient supply chain while expanding the products and services we offer.”
Porter’s Pooler facility is an ambient warehouse with 28 dock doors, 30-foot clear height and ESFR sprinklers, three minutes from I-95 and five minutes from I-16. The building houses Porter’s Savannah customs-bonded warehouse area, live since June 2026, and handles liquid and dry chemical repackaging. Porter provides chemical warehousing in Savannah and Atlanta and is Responsible Distribution verified by the Alliance for Chemical Distribution (ACD).
